Attorney

Description

We are looking for an experienced attorney to support our client, an education-focused organization, remotely. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can strengthen employee relations, oversee core HR operations, and help deliver reliable benefits and onboarding support. The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance day-to-day administration with people-focused guidance across the employee lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

- Guide managers and employees on workplace matters, helping resolve concerns fairly and in alignment with company policies and employment practices.

- Oversee daily human resources operations, ensuring personnel records, documentation, and administrative processes are maintained accurately and on time.

- Administer employee benefits programs by supporting enrollments, changes, and issue resolution while serving as a resource for benefit-related questions.

- Manage onboarding activities for new hires, coordinating required paperwork, orientation steps, and a smooth introduction into the organization.

- Maintain and update HRIS records to support data accuracy, reporting needs, and efficient HR workflows.

- Partner with leadership to apply HR policies consistently and recommend practical solutions for employee relations and compliance matters.

- Support process improvements within the HR function, including updates to systems or procedures when needed as part of operational responsibilities.

Requirements

- Legal skillset required

Demonstrated experience in human resources management, with strong knowledge of employee relations and HR administration.

- Hands-on background administering employee benefits and responding to benefit program inquiries.

- Proficiency using HRIS platforms to maintain records, process updates, and generate reports.

- Experience coordinating onboarding activities and supporting a positive experience for new employees.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across different levels of an organization.

- High attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

- Ability to organize multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt within a dynamic work environment.
