Portico Benefit Services is looking for a Director, Digital Transformation
, to be a part of our Information Technology team. Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the Director of Digital Transformation serves as a senior enterprise technology leader responsible for translating Portico’s strategy into scalable, secure, and well-governed technology capabilities. This role operates at the intersection of strategy, execution, and operations, with accountability for modernization outcomes across core platforms, data, analytics, and emerging technologies.

The Director is accountable for enterprise transformation outcomes and represents IT leadership in senior leadership forums to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value. This role is designed to grow in scope and responsibility as Portico’s technology capabilities mature.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Portico’s digital transformation roadmap, including SAP S/4

    HANA, SAP CX, and enterprise data modernization.
  • Own the planning, prioritization, and execution of enterprise modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives, financial constraints, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with Operations and Finance teams to align technology with enterprise goals and KPIs.
  • Establish and enforce governance, risk, and control frameworks that ensure technology initiatives are secure, auditable, and operationally sustainable.
  • Develop, prepare, and deliver executive- and Board-level reporting on technology performance, risk posture, transformation progress, and investment trade-offs, with an emphasis on decision-ready insights rather than status reporting.
  • Develop and mentor senior technology leaders, strengthening succession depth, decision quality, and enterprise-level thinking across the IT organization.
  • Serve as a decision authority for enterprise technology trade-offs, balancing speed, risk, cost, and long-term maintainability.
  • Act as a principal advisor to the Chief Technology Officer on enterprise technology strategy, investment prioritization, and risk management.
Qualifications
  • Ability to lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives and align technology strategies with organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in managing modernization programs involving SAP S/4

    HANA, SAP CX, analytics platforms, and AI/automation strategies.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks for technology initiatives.
  • Proven ability to provide strategic leadership, executive reporting, and represent IT in Board-level discussions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in executive and Board environments, including navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Proven experience making enterprise-level technology investment and risk decisions with financial and operational consequences.
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business implications for non-technical leaders.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including responsibility for enterprise platforms, operating environments, and cross-functional delivery.
  • 5+ years at a Director or Senior Management level overseeing enterprise modernization or transformation programs.

Starting Pay Range
: $138,500 - $159,166 + 15% Target Incentive
