Principal Performance Analyst - Minneapolis, MN

Position Summary

Responsible as team lead for defining, implementing and supporting advanced analytics solutions and capabilities for implementation and maintenance of programs across the Nuclear Business Unit. Determines workload and priority for the team. Provides expertise in the integration, analysis and wrangling of data in support of using technology solutions to reduce the cost of compliance and monitor fleet performance. Manipulates/analyzes complex datasets with a variety of tools;

communicates results clearly and concisely to provide insight to multiple audiences.

• Data Wrangling/Exploration:
  Follow consistent practices to ensure data integrity and deal with imperfections in data. Effectively process structured data; proficiently integrate data sets from various sources; draw conclusions from data. Collaborate with business stakeholders as needed to ensure solid data understanding and proper data transformation; work cross-functionally with information technology and engineering teams. Analyze large amounts of data to discover trends and patterns;
  
  confidently draw conclusions from data and gain actionable insights from data.
• Work Management - Manages multiple tasks, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities. Communicates status and estimates clearly and timely to management and team members. Prioritize work for the team.
• Communication:
  Effectively communicate technical information to numerous audiences; effectively develop relationships with individuals inside and outside of Nuclear. Address challenges to analytic processes and influence others to change their approach and work collectively to implement new tools/techniques. Gain support from related stakeholders for analytic solutions.
• Programming:
  Develop efficient and high-quality code; follow solid validation process to ensure consistency and minimize errors; adhere to version control standards. Maintain skills through continuing education; seamlessly transition between languages to apply the right approach to the right problem.
• Continuing Education - Takes a proactive approach to understanding industry and organization-specific business issues. Participates in structured and self-study training courses. Continually improves technical skills and learns new data sources.
• Data Visualization:
  Create meaningful data visualizations to communicate results and highlight performance declines. Utilize various visualization techniques and delivery methods of visualization that are audience appropriate.

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, Statistics, Analytics or related IT degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in an analytics environment.
• Expertise in SQL Comfortable working with large, complex data sets - drawing conclusions and proposing recommendations.
• Proven ability to effectively partner, collaborate, and communicate with technical and non-technical colleagues in various business functions at all levels.
• Hands‑on experience constructing visual analytics with SAP products.
• Working knowledge of an analytics data warehouse and big data platforms.
• Familiarity with fundamentals of data pipelines, statistics and probability.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to wrangle data.
• Comfortable working with structured and unstructured data.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead a team.

• Nuclear industry experience.
• Familiarity with fundamentals of data pipelines, statistics and probability.
• Proficient programming experience in SQL / Python / M‑Code.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Hands‑on experience constructing visual analytics with SAP Business Objects.
• Web Intelligence and SAP Analytics Cloud.
