IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
This is an exciting opportunity to join a best-in-class manufacturer within a niche industry poised for significant growth. With a new leadership team driving transformation, the company is focused on capturing a greater share of a $1 billion market while building the foundation for long-term success. As the organization hires its first full-time IT Director, this leader will play a critical role in modernizing technology, aligning systems with business objectives, and supporting the company’s 2026 goals centered on three strategic pillars:
Operational Excellence, Innovation with Purpose, and Profitability & Growth. The IT Director will be instrumental in advancing key initiatives including cost optimization, lead-time reduction, and an ERP upgrade designed to unify processes and deliver greater efficiency across the enterprise.
- Develop and own the enterprise business systems roadmap aligned with company growth and strategic priorities.
- Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of core systems (ERP, WMS, CRM, eCommerce, analytics).
- Establish governance frameworks that balance scalability, risk, and cost efficiency.
- Drive ongoing system optimization, process improvement, and user adoption through key performance metrics.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline operations and enhance efficiency through technology.
- Oversee the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, cloud services, and endpoints.
- Maintain system uptime, performance benchmarks, and robust disaster recovery capabilities.
- Manage cloud architecture and licensing, optimizing for both performance and cost.
- Lead vendor management, contract negotiations, and lifecycle management for all IT assets.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team; set clear goals and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team and department heads to align technology initiatives with business strategy.
- Lead change management processes, including stakeholder communication, training, and adoption planning.
- Foster effective communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate new technologies for potential business applications and competitive advantage.
- Lead proofs of concept and pilot programs for emerging tools or solutions.
- Provide thought leadership on technology trends and innovation strategies.
- Deep expertise in ERP, WMS, CRM, eCommerce, and business intelligence systems.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strategic and analytical thinking with proven project and change management experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage multi-million-dollar IT budgets.
- Proven ability to deliver technology-driven business transformation.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/Master’s preferred).
10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 6+ years in IT leadership roles within mid-market or growth-stage organizations.
8+ years managing enterprise business systems in manufacturing, distribution, or related industries.
Strong record of driving operational efficiency and supporting rapid business growth.
