Position SummaryThe Project Manager III is responsible for leading complex, high-risk enterprise technology initiatives supporting the replacement of and the implementation of a modern Content Management System (CMS). This role provides both project delivery leadership and PMO governance oversight while partnering closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and vendor teams.
This position requires strong vendor management experience, expertise managing projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and the ability to flex into Product Owner–style responsibilities when needed. The Project Manager will lead matrixed teams and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational goals supporting IT Customer Care operations.
Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Governance- Manage complex, high-risk enterprise IT projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, scope, and resource planning.
- Create and maintain detailed project work plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Manage day-to-day project execution and PMO governance activities.
- Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives and customer experience goals.
- Lead implementation and migration of modern CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or comparable solutions.
- Coordinate technical delivery across internal engineering teams, application developers, and vendor partners.
- Maintain awareness of technical architecture, design, model development, and deployment processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Manage vendor deliverables, service-level expectations, and contractual commitments.
- Lead collaboration across Solution Architects, Data Engineers, MLOps Engineers, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies across teams and establish escalation paths to resolve delivery challenges.
- Support Product Owners and business leads in managing milestones, deliverables, and KPI objectives.
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies and agile delivery processes in partnership with Scrum Masters and development teams.
- Assist with backlog prioritization, requirement refinement, and product roadmap alignment.
- Lead project meetings, steering committees, and governance reviews.
- Provide regular project status reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure accountability for action items.
- Establish communication plans and ensure alignment across business and technical teams.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
- Escalate project concerns when appropriate and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure cross-team coordination to remove delivery blockers.
- 5–7+ years of experience managing enterprise-level IT projects.
- Proven experience leading Content Management System implementations or migrations.
- Strong vendor management and third-party delivery coordination experience.
- Experience managing projects across all phases of the SDLC.
- Experience working in matrixed organizational environments.
- Strong project management methodology experience (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Knowledge of Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) or similar project management tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and risk management capabilities.
- Experience working in hybrid Project Manager / Product Owner roles.
- Experience supporting customer-facing digital or customer care technology platforms.
- Exposure to data analytics or data science project delivery.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or CSPO are preferred but not required.
