Oracle DBA DB

Akkodis is seeking an Oracle DBA with DB for a Contract with a client in Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate must have expert‑level Oracle 11g–21c administration skills to perform performance tuning and oversee high‑availability/DR solutions across mission‑critical systems.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Administer and optimize Oracle databases (11g–21c) across CDB/PDB and ASM/Grid Infrastructure, including installation, patching, upgrades, and security hardening (TDE, Vault, auditing).
• Design, implement, and operate HA/DR using RAC, Data Guard/Active Data Guard, and Golden Gate; perform failover/switchover testing and ensure RTO/RPO compliance.
• Own backup and recovery with RMAN (full/diff/log, PITR, incremental, compression/encryption) and Flashback; document and validate restore procedures regularly.
• Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR/ASH/ADDM, SQL Plan Management, and execution plan analysis; implement index/partitioning strategies and resolve complex SQL issues.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code (packages, procedures, triggers) and database standards; automate admin tasks with scripts and OEM 13c for monitoring/patching/provisioning.
• Provide cross‑database support (DB2, Mongo
  
  DB, Sybase): assist with configuration, backups/replication, performance monitoring, and migrations to/from Oracle; participate in 24×7 on‑call and incident RCA with thorough documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Oracle database administration within large, enterprise environments.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Oracle 11g–21c, including RAC, Data Guard/Active Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning (AWR/ASH/ADDM), multitenant architecture (CDB/PDB), and advanced PL/SQL.
• Strong cross‑database knowledge with working experience in DB2 and Mongo
  
  DB, supporting configuration, performance optimization, backup/recovery, and assisting with database migrations.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
