Sr. ERP Business Systems Analyst

A best-in-class manufacturer in the Minneapolis area is seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead strategy, governance, and optimization of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and related business applications. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence through robust system management, process efficiency, and data integrity. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong business acumen to ensure these systems fully support organizational goals and future growth.

• Maintain the overall health, performance, and security of the ERP platform.
• Manage configuration, user access, and environment controls, ensuring compliance with IT and security standards.
• Diagnose and resolve technical or process-related issues, coordinating with internal IT resources and external partners as necessary.
• Monitor system effectiveness, identify root causes of recurring issues, and recommend sustainable improvements.

• Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and ERP data to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making.
• Partner with department leaders to define requirements and optimize workflows.
• Establish and maintain documentation on business processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
• Support inventory analysis and other functions dependent on ERP data integrity.

• Administer system modules, workflows, automation, and integrations between the ERP and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with IT to maintain system security, data quality, and compliance with governance standards.
• Support internal audits and assist in data reconciliation or validation as needed.
• Serve as the technical lead on ERP-related projects, including system upgrades, enhancements, and module deployments.
• Develop testing strategies, coordinate implementation activities, and ensure post-deployment stability.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all ERP configurations, integrations, and system protocols.

• Prepare role-based documentation and process guides to foster consistent and efficient system use across the organization.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution support for ERP-related issues.
• Partner with internal and external teams to resolve complex configuration or performance problems.

• Identify opportunities for automation, performance optimization, and data-driven enhancements.
• Contribute to the applications roadmap and broader IT strategy to support long-term business objectives.
• Perform additional duties and participate in enterprise initiatives as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in business systems analysis, ERP management, or an equivalent technical function.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex application projects through their full lifecycle.
• Experience with major ERP systems such as Infor Visual, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Background in manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution environments preferred.

• Advanced understanding of business analysis methodologies and ERP system architecture.
• Proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to convey technical details to non-technical audiences.
• High level of initiative, analytical thinking, and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
