Position Summary
Xcel Energy is looking for a Workday Time and Absence Technology Analyst to join our team. We are seeking a strong candidate who possesses strong working knowledge of Workday's time tracking and absence functions and process, and will collaborate with key HR COEs and stakeholders to understand and define requirements, delivering sustainable and effective solutions, with an industry standards and best practices model.
Responsibilities
- Ensures assigned technology projects for aligned work streams are prioritized and properly planned within HR Technology and COE/stakeholder teams. Interacts with business and HR unit leaders/SMEs (subject matter experts) and internal customers to determine and document requirements and project objectives. Identifies systems gaps and resolves. Presents global-level solutions that add value to the business area.
- Develop/maintain configurations; investigate and troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, research and test solutions.
- Provides technical guidance to super users and support staff on the use of time/absence technology and instructs team members and business unit decisions makers on technical decision points and solution adoption. Support development and maintenance of training and communications materials
- Ensure data integrity through complete testing of data loads and identification of intersections with other work streams, technologies and integrations.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with configuration and deployment of Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules - experience with Workday Projects is a plus.
- Effective project management skills, including the ability to track status of deliverables, navigate the complexity of competing priorities and simultaneous initiatives, and to provide timely updates to stakeholders and drive progress, in alignment with leaders and assigned project managers.
- Proven consultative and coaching skills, with a best practices mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to speak with business users in translative form to support non-technical experience in the business, with ability to simplify complex topics into understandable discussion elements. Must be able to generate clear and concise written communication.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to ensure the accuracy of your own work. Precision and thoroughness are essential in the time and absence domain.
