- Engage in strategy and understand the goals of the company and department to align the team with vision and needs.
- Lead platform QA projects through all test phases including planning, test design, test execution, reporting, and closure.
- Stay on top of release scope and align the team's objectives to the scope and ensure team goals are achieved to support successful release.
- Follow direction defined from the QA initiatives and annual goals to ensure on-time completion of planned tasks.
- Create coded test automation scripts and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Help team identify roadblocks and find their resolutions.
- Responsible for monitoring daily test results to identify and react to any issue in a timely manner.
- Work closely with other teams to plan and drive test coverage expansion in the areas with higher priority and best ROI.
- Build, expand, and improve the automation test framework to increase productivity and effectiveness of the test.
- With a strong understanding of current security testing tools, collaborate with security engineers to run security tests, analyze results, and report issues.
- Work with performance engineers to build and execute a performance testing framework and report measurements to development/QA leadership for remediation.
- Work with managers to define KPIs to ensure team success.
- Based on metrics, identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with managers to develop improvement plans.
- Research, evaluate, implement, and maintain testing tools and strategies for various types of testing including automation, performance, and security testing.
- Plan and assist technical training and knowledge transition for new team members.
- Other core expectations will be defined by your direct manager.
- +5 years of manual Quality Assurance experience in the enterprise software industry.
- +5 years of experience designing and managing test strategy, test plans, and test cases.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (ability to write complex joins, subqueries, and data validations), FTP, Microsoft IIS, and other relevant enterprise applications.
- +2 years of experience developing automated tests.
- Hands‑on experience with camera device testing (e.g., image quality, frame‑rate, latency, hardware-software communication).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker).
- Knowledge of Linux distributions and their command‑line tools, with emphasis on essential Linux commands for monitoring.
- Scripting knowledge will be a plus.
- Proficiency in technical troubleshooting skills.
- Hands‑on experience with camera device testing (e.g., image quality, frame‑rate, latency, hardware-software communication), experience designing and managing test strategy, test plans, and test cases, strong proficiency in SQL (ability to write complex joins, subqueries, and data validations), FTP, Microsoft IIS, and other relevant enterprise applications.
