Job Description
Client is looking for an Application Security Engineer who can help stand up an Application Security Program from the ground up. Your main responsibilities will be developing and implementing an enterprise wide application security program by conducting security assessments, implementing security best practices, and developing security tools and solutions. You will also collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their applications meet the highest security standards.

AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Git Hub repositories.
- Previous experience with SDLC development and hands on programming within a "modern" CI/CD pipeline.
- Strong knowledge of web and API security concepts and best practices
- Proficient in at least one programming language ("Ideally Java, but Python, C#, etc. are also fine")
- Experience with security testing (SAST, SCA, and DAST) tools and frameworks (e.g. OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline, Dev Ops and automation tools
- Experience with security standards and compliance (e.g. OWASP Top 10, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in application security or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
