AV Support Analyst

Genesis
10 is currently seeking an AV Tech for a 12-month contract role with our retail client in Richfield, MN. This role will be 100% onsite.

Compensation: $18-20 per hour, depending on skill and experience level.

• Job Duties:

The role of Corporate Campus AV Technician will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and support of all audio-visual (AV) equipment across our corporate campus. Role supports all technical functions to ensure seamless AV support in meeting rooms and other collaborative spaces, which include support of PCs, installation and configuration of TVs and peripherals, support of conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams Rooms and other related software, and location cabling and connectivity.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for all AV-related issues, including video conferencing, speakers, microphones, and display systems.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities and IT teams for the seamless integration of AV technology in meeting rooms, conference areas, and event spaces.
  • Configure Microsoft Teams Rooms setups, ensuring optimal performance for virtual meetings and presentations.
  • Assist end-users with setting up and troubleshooting Microsoft Teams meetings, including joining, screen sharing, and microphone/speaker issues.
  • Provide intermediate technical support for PCs, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues, operating system support, and ensuring AV peripherals (such as webcams, microphones, etc.) are correctly recognized by the system.
  • Maintain documentation for all AV equipment, installations, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Regularly inspect AV equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and perform necessary maintenance or upgrades.
  • Recommend upgrades and improvements to existing AV systems for enhanced performance and employee experience.
  • Track inventory of AV equipment and ensure timely maintenance or replacements.

• Basic Requirements:
  • Direct experience with audio-visual hardware, including TVs, projectors, speakers, microphones, touch panels, and cameras.
    • Able to physically mount TVs on walls and run wires.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms technology.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of PC hardware/software and Windows/Mac operating systems.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels, including Executive Leadership.
  • Excellent customer service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work full-time, on-site at the client corporate campus.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for installations or urgent support requests.

• Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years proven experience in AV support or a related field.
  • Certifications in AV technologies or Microsoft Teams Rooms (e.g., CTS – Certified Technology Specialist).
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Teams Administrator Associate or related certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, AV Technology, or a related field.
