Summary:

** The Manager of Product Engineering will lead one of multiple software and data engineering teams responsible for building, operating, and enhancing Sourcewell’s core data platforms, including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Boomi. The team develops and maintains the integrations and pipelines that connect these systems to enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Workday, and Cvent, as well as other SaaS and data products that support analytics, reporting, and emerging AI-driven capabilities across the organization.
The manager will provide hands on technical leadership by guiding day to day engineering work, supporting solution development, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. Ideal candidates bring strong experience in data engineering, cloud data ecosystems, and a working knowledge of modern AI technologies, along with the ability to lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team while helping advance Sourcewell’s strategic goals.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*** Lead the development and implementation of strategy for an important area of responsibility within a function, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider functional strategy.
* Maintain an established set of enterprise architecture artifacts.
* Drive advances in technologies and architectures to increase the value delivered by technology and digital capabilities, either through improvements to the efficiency of the technology environment or through those that reduce the total cost of technology operations. Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development, and maintenance of the digital capabilities within the enterprise architecture.
* Design and select business-critical storage, data center, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice and provide a third-line point of escalation for appropriate global infrastructure solutions.
* Develop existing and new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new applications to meet customer requirements.
* Take responsibility for developing and delivering a key element of the organization's data management system.
* Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
* Participate in the selection of external consultants or advisers to deliver key projects and/or ad hoc services; ensure that business objectives and requirements are clearly understood and monitor outcomes, taking appropriate remedial action where necessary.
* Advance the organization's adoption of modern AI capabilities by guiding teams in evaluating, designing, and implementing AI-enabled product features, data driven automation, and generative AI solutions that enhance digital products and internal operations. Ensure AI initiatives align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and security standards while supporting product roadmaps and long-term product strategy.
