SUMMARYThe Developer BI Analyst is responsible for data collection and cleaning, exploration and visualization for BI solutions and semantic modeling solutions. The Developer BI Analyst should be coordinating with the data engineering team, analytics team and testing team to ensure data accuracy and optimize performance. Support the daily operations on the modern cloud BI platform.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Performs data collection from various data sources and cleans the data (e.g., checks for errors, inconsistencies, missing values, duplicate records and fixes them using related tools for data accuracy and quality for ETL purposes)
- Develops a deep familiarity with a variety of data sources including transactional databases, data warehouses, internal tools, and external integrations
- Understands Enterprise Data Warehouse and datamart models and works closely with the BI analytics team to help them understand column mapping for reports
- Works with the necessary key stakeholders in Operating Groups and IT Business Partner teams to ensure enhancement/bug fixes are addressed on priority
- Responsible for the maintenance of an effective control environment under SOX 404 for the accounting operations overseen. This includes key and non‑key controls, timely updating of control design and oversight of control remediation activities if exceptions are encountered in testing
- Works with Operations teams to minimize production issues/bug fixes to improve productivity
- Performs data exploration using BI tools (Power BI, SSRS, Python, R, Excel)
- Performs data testing for ETL pipelines and Power BI dashboards/reports
- Performs summarizing and interpreting data results, highlighting key findings, implications and limitations of analysis
- Documents the analysis results
- Performs as‑is analysis for existing data solutions

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
- Up to 3 years of experience in business analytics tools, developing ETLs, reports/dashboards
- Understanding of data engineering technologies (Azure, AWS Cloud, MS MySQL, SSRS, SSIS On‑prem)
- Understanding of visualizations through analytics tools (Power BI)
- Understanding of data science techniques for ML ops (Python, R, etc.)
- Having a GPA of 3.5 or above at graduation
- Vendor certification (Azure Data Engineering, Power BI certifications, Snowflake certifications) preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Understanding of Power BI skills; data modeling, DAX queries, chart customization, deployment pipelines, embedding
- Understanding of Power BI administrative tasks
- Understanding of cloud technologies for ETL
- Understanding of data science techniques for machine learning
- Ability to understand business domains to help analyze the data for analytics
- Understanding of SQL, T‑SQL and PL/SQL against a variety of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Hyperion and Cache
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Team‑oriented with deep empathy and outstanding interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated creative problem solver
