Swoop Technologies has a mission to organize and make accessible the world’s military and critical infrastructure. We are building a distributed operating system, Swoop
OS, that decomposes the world’s equipment into a distributed robotic embodiment upon which a new generation of distributed systems, autonomous systems, and agentic AI can be built and deployed using our SDK, Valhalla, and operated via our browser, Surf. Imagine the world’s equipment—electrical grid, communications architectures, manufacturing facilities, militaries—as a trapped supply of inputs that can ensure Western military advantage, sovereign control of economically competitive manufacturing capacity, or the creation of a grid that fosters energy dominance.
Swoop is liberating these trapped assets, allowing them to contribute to the world’s future as a series of building blocks to be combined at the speed of software, limited only by the hard constraints of physics and the soft constraints of safety. We build on the physical world, not in the data center, cloud, edge, or on-premise computing node.
- Familiarity with Linux, macOS, and Windows OS.
- Experience racking, configuring, monitoring, and provisioning infrastructure hardware.
- Ability to lift physical servers for mounting and run supporting cables.
- Understanding of modern IT security practices such as infrastructure security scanning and vulnerability mitigation.
- Experience with both terminal and user interfaces needed for managing IT resources.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, creating and managing VMs using industry standard tools.
- Experience managing backup resources and conducting failover events.
- CI/CD software experience with tools such as Gitlab.
- Active US Security clearance or ability and willingness to be sponsored for a US Security clearance.
- Scripting experience.
- Experience in hardening infrastructure resources such as STIGging and firewall work.
