The Network Automation Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-performance network solutions across data center environments.
This role focuses on implementing automation solutions for configuration management, provisioning, and monitoring of network devices.
The engineer will play a key role in performance analysis, capacity planning, and evaluating emerging technologies to enhance network operations.
Additionally, this role involves troubleshooting complex issues, contributing to strategic planning, and supporting senior engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and maintain high-performance network solutions for data centers, including core switches, edge routers, load balancers, and related network infrastructure.
- Implement network automation solutions to streamline repetitive tasks such as configuration management, provisioning, and monitoring.
- Assist in capacity planning, performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities to scale and optimize the data center network.
- Stay current with emerging technologies such as SDN and modern automation frameworks; assess applicability to improve network operations.
- Lead and triage complex technical issues across diverse system environments, driving root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Participate in planning activities and contribute to strategic initiatives related to network architecture and automation.
- Provide support to staff and principal engineers as needed.
- 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- OR appropriate industry certifications.
- OR equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Strong understanding of data center networking, configuration management, and automation concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical environments and performing root-cause analysis.
- 7–8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Prior experience working in a large global enterprise environment (1000+ sites).
- Experience with Azure, GCP, AWS, or hybrid cloud networks.
