Title: Senior Data Engineer – FHIR & Interoperability (Healthcare)
Location: Hybrid - Minneapolis, MN (2days/week in office)
About the Role- We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with recent FHIR experience to join a healthcare interoperability team supporting patient portal initiatives. This role focuses on moving data from a data lake into a FHIR server and exposing it through secure, scalable APIs.
- You will work closely with a collaborative team of three data engineers, a business analyst, and a scrum master to support regulatory-driven interoperability projects.
- Design and build scalable data pipelines from data lake to FHIR server
- Transform and map healthcare data to FHIR standards
- Develop and expose APIs to support patient portal functionality
- Work with real-time and near real-time healthcare data
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet interoperability requirements
- Support evolving regulatory compliance requirements
- Recent hands-on experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)
- Experience working with real-time or streaming data
- Strong understanding of healthcare data and interoperability standards
- Ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements related to interoperability
- Technical assessment (after approval)
- 1-hour interview with hiring manager and team member
