Job Title: Business Analyst – Data & Reporting
Location: Fridley, MN (Hybrid)
Industry: Manufacturing
Salary Range: $75,000–$85,000
The Business Analyst – Data & Reporting will support a growing manufacturing organization by translating business needs into Power BI reporting and analytics. This role partners with operations, finance, and IT to develop and maintain dashboards, while providing secondary support for the ERP environment.
Responsibilities- Gather and document business requirements for reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses.
- Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for operations, finance, supply chain, and leadership.
- Analyze trends and KPIs and present findings in a clear, business-focused format.
- Partner with business users to understand processes and translate them into data models and visualizations.
- Collaborate with IT and ERP resources to ensure data quality and consistent data flows.
- Perform basic data validation and troubleshooting for reporting issues.
- Assist with light ERP-related analysis and configuration changes as needed.
- Experience with business analysis techniques (requirements gathering, process mapping, use cases).
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visuals, publishing).
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL for data extraction and validation.
- Working understanding of ERP systems (Infor Visual, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics; manufacturing ERP a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain the “story” behind the data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder-facing skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Roughly 2–4 years in a business analyst, reporting analyst, or similar data-focused role.
- Demonstrated experience building and supporting Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Experience working with or around an ERP system (finance, supply chain, or operations preferred).
- Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment strongly preferred.
