NetSPI is hiring for our 2026 Summer Internship Program
. We are excited to welcome a IT Operations Specialist intern to our team for the summer.

    Onsite in Minneapolis at NetSPI’s Headquarters
Intern Responsibilities
  • Endpoint Provisioning & Lifecycle Support Assist with laptop and workstation provisioning, rebuilds, and redeployments following established IT and security standards for new hires, hardware refreshes, and device reuse.
  • Security‑Focused Endpoint Patching Support operating system and application patching activities using enterprise endpoint management tools to help ensure systems remain secure, up to date, and compliant with corporate policies.
  • Device Inventory & Compliance Management Assist with Microsoft Intune device inventory management, including identifying stale, duplicate, or non‑compliant devices and supporting cleanup, remediation, and lifecycle tracking efforts.
  • Knowledge Base Documentation Create, update, and maintain internal IT knowledge base articles documenting standard procedures, troubleshooting steps, and end‑user guidance to improve consistency, security, and self‑service.
  • Endpoint & Account Administration Tasks Perform basic system administration tasks under supervision, such as device wipes, inventory updates, reassignment of hardware, and validation of endpoint status.
  • End‑User IT Support Provide frontline technical support to employees, troubleshooting common hardware, software, and access issues while escalating security‑sensitive or complex problems as appropriate.
What You’ll Learn

This internship is designed to build real‑world IT and security operations experience. By the end of the program, interns can expect exposure to:

  • How Corporate IT operates inside a cybersecurity company
  • Enterprise endpoint management and patching practices
  • Microsoft Intune and modern device management concepts
  • IT documentation best practices and operational standardization
  • Professional end‑user support, troubleshooting, and escalation
  • How IT, security, and compliance intersect in a regulated environment
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems
    , or a related field (junior or senior standing preferred).
  • Interest in Corporate IT, endpoint management, or security‑focused IT operations
    , with a desire to learn how IT supports a cybersecurity‑first organization.
  • Basic familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems
    , including general troubleshooting, system settings, and software installation.
  • Exposure to or interest in IT concepts such as device management, patching, documentation, or helpdesk support (coursework, labs, projects, or prior internships are sufficient).
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, well‑organized documentation for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Willingness to follow security best practices
    , policies, and access controls when working with corporate systems and employee devices.
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative IT team.
  • Based in the Twin Cities area with the ability to work onsite at NetSPI’s Minneapolis headquarters for the duration of the internship.
