Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS cloud solutions for large-scale data storage and migration.
- Lead on-premises to AWS data migration initiatives, including planning, execution, validation, and cutover activities.
- Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Data Sync, S3 Replication, Sage Maker, Glue, FSx, ECR, ELB, and Secrets Manager.
- Implement AWS Data Sync and S3 replication solutions for high-volume data transfers and disaster recovery.
- Design and support large-scale data ingestion, archival, backup, and recovery architectures.
- Develop and deploy machine learning solutions using AWS Sage Maker and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar tools.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent platforms.
- Collaborate with business, infrastructure, network, database, and security teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud, storage, and data migration issues.
- Execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) and provide technical leadership on cloud initiatives.
- Coordinate onsite-offshore teams and provide project status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
- 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with 4+ years of hands-on AWS expertise.
- Strong experience with AWS Data Sync, Amazon S3 (replication, lifecycle policies, versioning, encryption), and AWS Sage Maker.
- Proven experience migrating large-scale datasets (TBs to PBs) from on-premises environments to AWS.
- Expertise in AWS networking, including VPN, Direct Connect, and bandwidth optimization.
- Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of IAM, KMS, encryption, security, governance, and compliance best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD automation and Dev Ops practices.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills.
