Senior Informatics Technical Specialist
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Informatics Technical Specialist who will act as the front‑line contact with customers to deliver a software product that bridges laboratory information systems and analytical instrumentation. The specialist will craft effective solutions, perform installation and integration work to facilitate highly automated laboratory operations, and provide customized consulting services to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Integrate the automation, informatics, and LIS to achieve successful communication between all systems and establish analyzer, network, and LIS connectivity by writing custom algorithms that modify the informatics software accordingly.
- Define and communicate critical gaps and potential design improvements to the integration process while serving as project leader directing and executing all laboratory informatics implementation activities.
- Integrate third‑party hardware, including PC workstations and servers that operate the informatics software, while managing and supporting customer satisfaction to sustain business growth.
- Associate degree in science, IT, medical technology or a similar field and 3+ years of related experience in a clinical laboratory environment or with a clinical LIS.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or preferably Medical Technology with laboratory experience is advantageous.
- Proven experience managing personal schedules and travels, company assets, and expenses within given guidelines.
- Laboratory workflow and operations experience; background as a medical technologist ideal (use of Beckman Coulter instrumentation systems – programming, networking, databases, and/or LIS implementation).
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel up to 85% of the time to client sites nationwide and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Compensation & BenefitsThe hourly rate for this role is $36.00 – $45.00, and the position is eligible for bonus or incentive pay. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan for eligible employees.
