Role Snapshot
  • Set the Vision: Shape cloud architecture strategies and solutions aligned to client business goals and Vervint's Enterprise Architecture methodology.
  • Design the Solution: Create scalable, secure, and resilient Azure-based architectures, either independently or as part of multi-domain solutions.
  • Engage the Client: Partner with stakeholders to understand needs, guide technology adoption, and deliver actionable architecture roadmaps.
  • Lead Technically: Provide domain expertise, mentor team members, and guide delivery to ensure high‑quality outcomes across engagements.
  • Manage Risk & Delivery: Identify risks, define constraints, and ensure successful execution of architecture solutions.
  • Enable Growth: Contribute to presales, solution shaping, and thought leadership to strengthen client relationships and drive new opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to design architectures and solutions as part of Vervint's Enterprise Architecture methodology.
  • Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient, and secure architecture solutions within your domain of focus.
  • Create technical designs, architecture artifacts, and diagrams to communicate solutions.
  • Engage with client leadership, solution architects, and enterprise architects to define technical approaches.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retros, and other ceremonies to align team effort with engagement outcomes.
  • Mentor peers toward Domain Architect roles and demonstrate leadership across 1–8 engagements.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate risks associated with architecture solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of solutions.
  • Continuously assess and improve architectural processes, methodologies, and tools.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, with hands‑on experience designing and implementing enterprise‑grade Azure environments.
  • Subject‑matter expertise in Azure cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, and large‑scale Landing Zone architecture; fluency across identity, security, and governance.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and on‑premises architectural principles, including Azure Landing Zone design, hub‑and‑spoke and Virtual WAN topologies, and hybrid cloud integration patterns.
  • Proven experience establishing network connectivity from on‑premises environments to Azure (Express Route, VPN, Azure Virtual WAN, BGP routing).
  • In‑depth knowledge of on‑premises networking concepts and their Azure‑native equivalents.
  • Ability to design multi‑subscription Azure environments, including management group hierarchies, policy frameworks, RBAC structures, and network topologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Relevant Azure certifications strongly preferred (AZ‑700, AZ‑305, AZ‑900/AZ‑104).
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • At least 10 years of information technology or software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience creating technical architectures in Azure, with a strong emphasis on cloud networking and hybrid connectivity.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and deploying Azure Landing Zones at enterprise scale, including policy‑as‑code, subscription vending, and RBAC governance.
  • Proficiency in Azure networking services such as Azure Virtual WAN, Express Route, VPN, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS, and traffic management services.
  • Experience with on‑premises network architecture (routing protocols, MPLS, SD‑WAN) and bridging to Azure connectivity solutions.
  • Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tooling (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Network Watcher).
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience, providing technical leadership or acting as a technical project manager.
