Position Overview
:
The IT M&A Integration Lead is an individual contributor responsible for leading all Information Technology activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures s role serves as the primary point of accountability and coordination between Corporate IT, acquired business units, executive leadership, and external partners throughout the M&A lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the IT lead for M&A due diligence activities in partnership with Corporate Development, Finance, Security, and Legal teams.
- Assess target company IT environments including infrastructure, identity, applications, data, security posture, hardware, and vendor contracts.
- Develop IT due diligence summaries, risk assessments, and cost estimates to support deal evaluation and planning.
- Act as the primary IT interface to acquired company leadership and technical teams during pre‑close activities.
- Define Day 1 (Phase 1) integration scope, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Maintain and enhance IT M&A playbooks, standards, and repeatable integration processes.
- Own and coordinate IT integration work streams across infrastructure, identity, collaboration, end‑user computing, applications, and security during Phase 1 & Phase 2.
- Lead Phase 1 close readiness activities to ensure Day 1 business continuity.
- Plan and execute Phase 2 integrations, driving alignment to Legence enterprise platforms and operating models.
- Develop and maintain integration roadmaps, milestones, risks, dependencies, and executive‑level status reporting.
- Coordinate internal IT teams, business unit stakeholders, and third‑party vendors while ensuring alignment to approved budgets, timelines, and business priorities.
- Serve as a trusted IT advisor to acquired business leadership, translate business requirements into clear IT execution plans, and facilitate decision‑making between Corporate IT and business units.
- Provide consistent communication to executive sponsors, steering committees, and integration leadership.
- Represent IT in integration governance forums and executive reviews.
- Ensure all integrations comply with Legence IT architecture, security, and operational standards.
- Identify integration risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the maturity and scalability of IT M&A integration practices.
- Support divestitures and carve‑out activities as required.
Qualifications
- Required
- 8+ years of experience in IT operations, systems integration, or technical program management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting IT due diligence and post‑close M&A integrations.
- Broad understanding of enterprise IT domains including identity, infrastructure, cloud services, end‑user computing, and security.
- Strong ability to operate as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level reporting.
- Preferred
- Experience in multi‑entity, growth‑oriented organizations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure‑based enterprise environments.
- Formal program or project management experience.
- Experience supporting divestitures or carve‑out integrations.

Base salary
: $135k – $150k per year, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan based on company and individual performance. Compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location.
