Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Identity Management (IdM) Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the SAP Identity Management landscape. You will serve as the subject matter expert across SAP IdM integrations, ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant identity and access management operations across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and deploy SAP Identity Management solutions aligned with enterprise security standards
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects including requirements gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go‑live support
- Architect identity lifecycle management workflows covering user provisioning, role assignments, de‑provisioning, and access recertification
- Define and enforce identity governance frameworks including segregation of duties (SoD) policies
- Integrate SAP IdM with SAP ECC, S/4
HANA, Success Factors, GRC, and third‑party systems via connectors and APIs - Manage the SAP IdM repository, dispatcher, and runtime engine configurations
- Administer and maintain identity stores, LDAP/Active Directory integrations, and HR‑driven provisioning workflows
- Configure and manage Single Sign‑On (SSO) solutions including SAML 2.0 and OAuth integrations
- Ensure IAM solutions comply with regulatory requirements including SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001
- Conduct periodic access reviews, user access recertification campaigns, and privilege access audits
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to support audit readiness and remediation efforts
- Develop and maintain documentation including functional and technical specifications, process flows, and runbooks
- Serve as the primary escalation point and technical advisor for SAP IdM‑related issues and projects
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants on SAP identity management best practices
- Partner with HR, Security, and Business units to align IAM processes with organizational needs
- Present technical solutions and project updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- 12+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Identity Management implementation and support
- Minimum 8 years of experience working with SAP IdM versions 7.x and/or 8.0
- Proven track record of leading full‑cycle SAP IdM implementations in large enterprise environments
- Extensive experience with SAP GRC Access Control integration (particularly with SAP IdM)
- Strong background in identity governance, access management, and role‑based access control (RBAC)
- Deep expertise with JavaScript‑based workflow scripting within the SAP IdM environment: SAP IdM
- Proficiency with ABAP, CUA, HR, and custom connectors for SAP and non‑SAP systems
- Strong knowledge of LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory
- Hands‑on experience with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and REST/SOAP APIs
- Working knowledge of SAP HANA and MS SQL Server in the context of IdM repositories
- Experience with S/4
HANA, Success Factors HCM, and cloud identity platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta)
