Technical Product Owner – Customer Technical Products Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to support the Customer Technical Products organization through end-to-end ownership and delivery of enterprise data products and integration services. This role will lead initiatives spanning Customer, Meter, Billing, and Payment Data Services while partnering closely with technical build teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high‑quality solutions across the Customer Portfolio.
The ideal candidate brings a hybrid background in product ownership and technical delivery leadership, with strong capabilities in project/program management, vendor management, and financial oversight. This individual will play a key role in driving consistency, governance, and execution excellence across a complex, multi‑team delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage cross‑product roadmaps, priorities, and backlog alignment across Customer Technical Products domains
- Support delivery initiatives across:
- Customer Data Services
- Meter Data Services
- Billing Data Services
- Payment Data Services
- Technical build and delivery teams
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery activities across the Plan / Build / Run lifecycle for enterprise data products and integration services
- Drive project and program management execution including:
- Scope, schedule, risk, and dependency management
- Cross‑team coordination and portfolio alignment
- Governance reporting and delivery oversight
- Manage vendor relationships and multi‑vendor delivery environments, including:
- Vendor evaluation and onboarding
- Delivery quality management
- Performance accountability and coordination
- Oversee financial management activities including:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cost tracking and funding alignment across initiatives
- Financial reporting and portfolio visibility
- Partner with engineering, architecture, Dev Ops, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure, and reusable technical solutions
- Ensure consistency in delivery execution, governance standards, and operational processes across technical product teams
- Enable integration and reuse of enterprise data products across systems, applications, and customer channels
- Maintain accountability for cross‑team delivery outcomes, system performance, and operational readiness
- Provide portfolio‑level reporting, risk visibility, and governance updates to leadership stakeholders
- 7–10+ years of experience in technical product ownership, program management, IT delivery leadership, or related technical leadership roles
- Strong experience leading complex, cross‑functional enterprise initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated expertise in project and program management methodologies, including risk, dependency, and stakeholder management
- Experience managing vendors and external delivery partners within multi‑vendor environments
- Experience overseeing financials including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management across multiple work streams
- Experience working with data platforms, APIs, integration services, or enterprise technical products
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and business audiences
- Utility industry experience, particularly within Meter‑to‑Cash, customer, billing, metering, or payment domains
- Experience supporting multiple product domains simultaneously within enterprise environments
- Experience with cloud and data engineering technologies including AWS, APIs, pipelines, and integration platforms
- Familiarity with enterprise portfolio planning, governance, and delivery frameworks
- Experience operating within matrixed organizations and distributed delivery models
- Strong ownership mindset with accountability across multiple products, initiatives, and delivery teams
- Ability to lead effectively in matrixed, distributed, and vendor‑supported environments
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills
- Strategic thinker with strong operational execution capabilities
- Ability to balance delivery priorities, financial oversight, governance, and technical quality across a large portfolio
