Looking for a hands‑on leader, managing a group of 4 between network and security.
The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity and Network is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and ongoing management of cybersecurity programs and network infrastructure. This role ensures the organization’s networks, systems, and data are protected against evolving cyber threats while maintaining high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring direct technical contribution alongside strategic oversight.
This leader partners across IT, risk, and business functions to align infrastructure security strategy with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and execute enterprise cybersecurity strategies focused on infrastructure protection.
- Oversee the implementation of security controls across networks, servers, cloud, and endpoints.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate infrastructure‑related security risks.
- Lead incident response efforts and drive root cause analysis for security incidents.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, SOC
2). - Manage network infrastructure and IT operations including LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, cloud connectivity (Azure), and endpoints.
- Directly contribute to network and security architecture design, configuration, and troubleshooting alongside the team.
- Ensure systems are secure, resilient, and scalable.
- Oversee patch management, vulnerability management, and system hardening initiatives.
- Drive adoption of zero‑trust architecture and modern security frameworks.
- Implement network security solutions (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation).
- Lead by example and directly alongside a team of cybersecurity professionals and network administrators, mentoring through hands‑on collaboration.
- Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and operational excellence.
- Oversee SIEM, SOC operations, and security monitoring tools.
- Ensure real‑time threat detection, response, and remediation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners during incidents.
- Manage relationships with vendors, managed security providers, and auditors.
- Collaborate with application, data, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Communicate risks and security posture to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4–5 years in cybersecurity leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure (networking, servers, virtualization, cloud).
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Proven experience managing security tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, IAM).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent.
- Experience in publicly traded companies or regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
- Strategic thinking and leadership with the ability to operate as a direct technical contributor when needed.
- Risk management and decision‑making.
- Technical expertise in network infrastructure and cybersecurity.

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
