Interns - UX Designer - Summer

Pay range: $17.98 - $. Pay is based on several factors including labor market, education, work experience and certifications.

Join Target’s Product Design (UX) and Accessibility team. As a Product Designer you will support the design of digital retail experiences across , Target apps, and internal solutions used by employees and partners.

• Support the full design process from discovery and testing to handoff and quality assurance.
• Contribute visual design and flow deliverables that are intuitive, elegant, and provide value for guests.
• Think beyond interface design to structure and information architecture for guest tasks and journeys.
• Advocate for consistency and restraint by actively utilizing and contributing to the design system.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team of UX designers, UX writers, engineers, product managers, QA staff, accessibility consultants, data analysts, and UX researchers.
• Learn to leverage data and guest insights to inform design decisions.
• Participate in guest research and learn to conduct your own research with guidance from the UX research team.
• Collaborate with other organizational teams (apps, marketing, pricing & promotions, item, etc.) to ensure a cohesive guest experience.

• 1+ years of digital product design experience, with emphasis on research, UX architecture, interaction design, or visual design.
• Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating product design work.
• Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, InVision).
• Awareness of data and research methodologies and ability to partner with research experts.
