Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes within a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environment.

In this role, you will drive the development of standardized manufacturing solutions, support ERP modernization initiatives, and facilitate the migration of manufacturing operations from legacy systems to a unified D365 platform. The ideal candidate combines deep manufacturing expertise with strong ERP knowledge and the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable, enterprise-wide solutions.

This is a highly collaborative role that bridges manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality, finance, and technology teams to deliver sustainable business improvements.

Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Solution Strategy & Design
  • Design and implement manufacturing solutions supporting production planning, scheduling, execution, and inventory management.
  • Develop scalable processes for multi-site and multi-company manufacturing environments.
  • Translate operational requirements into functional designs, process documentation, and solution architecture artifacts.
  • Ensure manufacturing solutions align with enterprise technology standards and long-term business objectives.
Manufacturing Systems Integration
  • Partner with technical teams to integrate ERP platforms with manufacturing execution and shop‑floor systems.
  • Define system ownership and data flows across ERP, MES, quality, and operational technology environments.
  • Support integration of production orders, inventory transactions, traceability data, and quality processes.
  • Lead process harmonization efforts across organizations operating on multiple legacy ERP platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and maximize standard ERP functionality.
  • Support enterprise transformation initiatives focused on manufacturing excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to long‑term ERP and manufacturing technology roadmaps.
  • Serve as the manufacturing subject matter expert during system implementations and enhancements.
  • Lead discovery sessions, solution workshops, and fit‑gap assessments.
  • Guide configuration decisions and support testing, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with implementation partners and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, finance, and IT leaders.
  • Provide guidance on system capabilities, process improvements, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in ERP solution architecture, manufacturing systems, or functional leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including:
  • Production Control
  • Master Planning (MRP/MPS)
  • Inventory Management
  • Strong background in discrete and/or process manufacturing environments.
  • Experience integrating ERP systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Understanding of production planning, inventory management, shop‑floor operations, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Experience supporting global, multi‑site ERP implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP consolidation initiatives and business integrations following acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with cloud integration technologies, APIs, and modern integration architectures.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of reporting, analytics, and low‑code business application platforms.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and process improvement.
  • Ability to bridge technical and business teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset coupled with hands‑on execution capabilities.
  • Proven success managing complex projects in global manufacturing environments.
