• Over 4 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or data engineer
• Proficiency in constructing complex SQL queries
• Strong communication skills to present findings and influence change
• Hands‑on experience with data platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, SAS Fusion, Hadoop, Teradata, Hive, AWS, and Azure
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and iDashboards
• Preferred:
  Experience in data storytelling and presenting to Senior Management or Executive Leadership
• Preferred:
  Certifications like SAS Certification, Teradata Vantage Certification, or Microsoft Certified Professional

• Assist various teams in transitioning Financial Systems data into ETL or data warehouse platforms

• Create advanced techniques for anomaly detection, pattern analysis, change point detection, and threshold measurement

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Science Solutions and Strategy (DS3) Team within United Healthcare Controllership. This role, based in Minneapolis, can be fulfilled remotely or on-site, offering flexible hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. Our DS3 team consists of approximately 35 skilled individuals, with a direct team of 5‑7 members proficient in big data technologies like Hive, Hadoop, and Teradata, and proficient in programming languages including SAS, SQL, Python, and R.
