A national technology leader is seeking a Linux Administrator to support and maintain development systems used to validate networking ASICs and software for next‑generation supercomputers. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where your work directly contributes to the performance and reliability of advanced computing platforms.
Salary: $85,000 – $120,000 per year
Shift: First
Work hours: 8 AM – 4 PM
Education: Bachelors
Responsibilities- Debug and fix prototype and emulation system issues as they occur to maximize uptime.
- Use Python and Bash scripting skills to support systems and testing.
- Maintain daily updates of development software stack on systems.
- Maintain and improve existing system status reporting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and debug system issues to isolate root cause of failures.
- Build compute node images with latest OS versions and software stack updates.
- Administer compute cluster for system validation team.
- Collaborate and communicate with management and internal partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Commuting distance to Bloomington, MN or Chippewa Falls, WI
- Experience with servers, networks, file systems, and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with compute clusters (LSF, Slurm preferred)
- Experience with ASIC emulation platforms (Palladium, Veloce, Zebu) is a plus
- Strong scripting ability in Bash and Python
- Ability to work in a transparent, collaborative engineering environment
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, problem‑solving environment
- Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Curiosity and appetite for learning new technologies

Experienced - Linux Administration: 2 years of experience (required)
- Computer Hardware
Experience:
1 year of experience (required) - Data Center Engineering: 1 year of experience (preferred)
- Network Administration: 1 year of experience (preferred)
- VMware: 1 year of experience (preferred)
- Bash Scripting: 2 years of experience (required)
- Python Scripting: 2 years of experience (required)
- JavaScript: 2 years of experience (preferred)
