Sr. Solutions Architect, HCLS AI​/ML and Data Strategy Specialists, Global Healthcare

Position Overview

Senior Solutions Architect (SA III) – AWS, World Wide Public Sector Healthcare & Life Sciences team.

Lead technical strategy & execution across healthcare & life sciences customers, driving AI/ML adoption from experimentation to production.

• Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder technical engagements and present decisions to senior leaders.
• Define AI/ML reference architectures and reusable patterns for clinical and operational use cases (agentic AI, clinical decision support, prior authorization, health data platforms, medical imaging, genomics).
• Define & validate requirements, lead end‑to‑end design, and represent benefits & challenges of each approach.
• Influence stakeholders and partners across AWS to drive best practices and amplify team impact.
• Mentor and develop other technical professionals within the HCLS organization.
• Produce thought‑leadership content (blogs, reference architectures, talks, workshops) that simplifies and scales the team’s impact.

• Experience writing technical articles, speaking at conferences, and contributing to open source.
• Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, FDA, GxP).
• Experience with AWS AI/ML services (Amazon Bedrock, Sage Maker, Health Lake, Health Omics, Amazon Q, Agent Core).

• 6+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• 5+ years of working with Data & AI technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, analytics, database, storage).
• 3+ years of healthcare or life sciences industry experience in a technical capacity.

• Executive engagement and communication skills – trusted to present to senior leadership; whiteboard sessions, EBCs, executive presentations.
• Technical leadership – independently design long‑term solutions, take the lead on initiatives, and deliver without close supervision.
• Travel up to 30%.
