The Systems Operations Engineer 4 – Storage & Backup is responsible for leading enterprise storage and backup initiatives, ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability across critical infrastructure environments. This role acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in storage and backup technologies, supporting data center migration efforts, infrastructure design, and operational support in a high-availability environment.

Storage & Backup Engineering

• Support and manage Dell, Pure, Cohesity, Data Domain, and Avamar platforms

• Ensure high availability and performance of storage systems

Infrastructure & Migration

• Lead and support data center migration initiatives

• Design and implement storage and backup solutions

Operations & Support

• Provide L2/L3 production support

• Troubleshoot storage and backup failures

Automation & Scripting

• Develop automation using Power Shell

• Improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor system performance and alerts

• Generate reports using PowerBI (if applicable)

Collaboration

• Work with infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders

• Participate in Agile / Scrum environments

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain operational procedures and documentation

• Ensure compliance with enterprise standards

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of Systems / Storage Engineering experience

• Strong experience with Dell storage (Required)

• Strong experience with Pure Storage (Required)

• Strong experience with Cohesity (Required)

• Experience with Data Domain and Avamar

• Strong production support experience

• Experience with Power Shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NVMe/TCP (Block over IP)

• Experience with PowerBI

• Experience with Service Now

• Agile / Scrum / Jira experience

• Python scripting knowledge
