Job Summary
Index Engines, the world’s leading analytics engine to detect corruption due to ransomware, is looking for an experienced Technology Alliances Manager to join the team.?
As the Director of Technology Alliances & Compatibility, this role is responsible for managing and execution of Index Engines technology and ecosystem partnerships, testing requirements, priorities, and roadmap for its Cyber Sense platform compatibility list. This person will need to work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, Support and Technical Pre-Sales, to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on the priorities, deliverables, and schedules.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Alliances and Solutions, the ideal candidate will have a strong product/technical background enabling management of product and platform compatibility scope, priorities, and validation, qualification, and certification requirements. The Technology Alliances Manager will drive establishing and growing the technology partner relationships, managing the day-to-day partner interactions, ensuring priorities, roadmaps and release schedules are communicated, shared, and aligned.?
The position requires solid technical and business acumen and well-rounded familiarity with cyber security, data protection, backup and recovery, storage technologies, databases, virtualization and operating systems that enterprise and mid-sized organizations broadly adopt.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, own, and lifecycle manage the official Compatibility matrix for the Cyber Sense platform.
- Establish formal testing requirements, compatibility guidelines and lifecycle definitions based on industry standards and competitive analysis.
- Manage and drive the relationship, day-to-day operational activities, product release schedules and roadmap alignment for current and new technology alliance partners.
- Understand and keep key Index Engines stakeholder groups apprised of partners strategic and competitive positioning, key goals and objectives, technology and product roadmaps, and areas of opportunity.
- Maintain direct and active relationships with technology partners, including proactively resolving business, technical, and procedural issues while serving as an internal advocate?for Index Engines and the partner.
- Effective communication of the current compatibility list, roadmap, priorities, and schedules cross-functionally with Index Engines key stakeholder teams.
- Collaborate with Support on developing and implementing formal notifications, updates, and service bulletins related to the Compatibility matrix for customers, OEMs, and internally within Index Engines.
- Job Requirements
- Strong technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving validation and qualification of complex technology combinations.
- Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills – with the ability to develop work in relationships at all levels of the organization, both inside and outside Index Engines.
- Prior experience and technical knowledge in the areas of analytics, data protection, enterprise storage platforms, and cyber security are highly desirable.
- Prior experience using artificial intelligence tools like Claude to optimize workflows is required.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills – ability to define and structure problems, collect and analyze data, and synthesize defendable recommendations into actionable plans.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Agile and Scrum process is also highly desirable.
- Ability to lead, influence, and hold cross-functional teams accountable to develop and execute successful partnerships.
- Clear, effective communication and strong presentation skills with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in product/platform qualifications, managing technical partnership or product management for technologies in cyber security, cyber resiliency, data protection or enterprise storage space.
- 3+ years of related partner facing experience of managing technical relationships and collaboration.
- B.S. / B.A. in a computer science or related field is desired.
- Continental United States.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.
