Senior Data Architect

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of demonstrated experience leading enterprise data architecture and governance initiatives.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, analytical platforms, enterprise data models, semantic layers, and data governance programs.
• Proven expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data lineage, master data management, data quality, cataloging, stewardship, and lifecycle management disciplines.
• Experience defining enterprise-wide data standards, policies, governance operating models, and reusable architecture patterns.

The Senior Data Architect will lead the strategy, design, and optimization of the organization's enterprise data ecosystem, with a primary focus on improving data quality, strengthening governance, validating architecture decisions, and reducing cloud and platform costs. This individual will assess the current data landscape, define a scalable future-state architecture, and ensure the organization is positioned to leverage AI and advanced analytics capabilities as the business continues to grow.

The environment includes datasets ranging from 50-60 terabytes to more than 500 terabytes, requiring expertise in large-scale, high-volume data platforms.

On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Data Architect will partner with business leaders, product teams, Data Engineers, Java Engineers, and analytics stakeholders to establish enterprise data models, semantic layers, governance frameworks, and architectural standards that support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building scalable, AI-ready data ecosystems capable of supporting hundreds of terabytes of data while aligning technology investments with business and product objectives.
