Position Overview:
The Business Analyst will support the information needs of University faculty, staff, and administrators by working with the Business Process Owners creating and maintaining financial related solutions that support business processes and management decisions in central, collegiate, and departmental units.
- Production Support (30%):
This comprises all activities to resolve production related issues within assigned module responsibility. Issues are initiated as a result of business process or system related errors. Issues are usually initiated as a result of nightly/daily batch processing, End User Community and or identified Business Process Owners (BPO). - Analysis, Functional Design, Report Development (30%):
Represents any and all effort to implement new functionality or resolve issues requiring significant analysis and development. This will include functional design and may include specific report (BI Publisher) or RPD (OBIEE core metadata model) development work. - Testing (30%):
This comprises all testing efforts associated with application development and or system maintenance. System Test and Regression Testing on a scheduled release cycle. - Special Projects (10%):
This comprises all activities/projects that could be considered one off or possibly cyclical. Examples of this are:
Application Upgrade Planning and Execution, Fiscal Year End Processing, Related Business Process Software Implementation.

Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS plus at least two years of work experience in the areas of business or systems process analysis or master's degree.
- Strong technical skills and aptitude, including familiarity with development processes and methodology.
- Knowledge of both Relational and Dimensional Database design.
- Experience communicating effectively with business and IT professionals at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an analyst capacity with People Soft, SAP, or other enterprise financial systems.
- Knowledge of Oracle Analytics Cloud 'OAC' (OBIEE Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) and or similar business intelligence software.
- Experience in Data Warehousing and related report analysis, design and development.
- Understanding of information needed to support business processes and decisions.
- Experience communicating effectively with business and IT professionals at all levels.
- Previous employment experience in higher education, government, or a public entity.

Pay and BenefitsPay Range: $74,608 - $88,854 annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience
