Job Description

Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Solutions Architect with our client in Minneapolis, MN.

Our client is seeking a Vice President, Solutions Architecture to provide strategic architecture vision and leadership across HR, Finance, and the broader employee technology ecosystem. This executive will drive technology modernization, cloud transformation, platform integration, and the strategic application of AI to enhance business processes and the employee experience. The ideal candidate combines strong enterprise architecture expertise with executive leadership, business acumen, and a holistic understanding of interconnected employee platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the architecture vision and multi-year roadmap across HR, Finance, and employee technology platforms.
  • Establish target-state architecture and integration strategies across platforms including Workday, Service Now, Microsoft 365, AWS, and Azure.
  • Lead cloud modernization and enterprise technology transformation initiatives.
  • Identify and champion high-value AI use cases, establishing appropriate architectural guardrails and driving adoption across the organization.
  • Establish and govern enterprise architecture standards, policies, security practices, and integration frameworks.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing architecture organization through hiring, mentoring, and talent development.
  • Partner with senior business and technology leaders to align architecture strategy with business objectives and investment priorities.
  • Provide financial and strategic oversight of the technology portfolio, including budgeting, prioritization, and investment decisions.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant technology and architecture experience.
  • 68+ years of experience leading technical teams and enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and Microsoft/Azure cloud platforms.
  • Expert-level Service Now knowledge, including ITSM and HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
  • Experience with Workday and enterprise employee technology ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of applied AI and its use in business process optimization.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing architecture strategy and roadmaps.
  • Experience delivering technology solutions within a regulated enterprise environment.
  • Strong business, financial, communication, and executive leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience leading cloud migration and modernization programs.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture governance, API/integration strategy, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Proven ability to influence executives and lead organizational change.
  • Experience shaping end-to-end employee experiences through integrated HR, productivity, and service delivery platforms.

This is an in-office leadership role requiring a minimum of four days per week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely one day per week. Some responsibilities may require additional in-office presence.

The base hourly range for this contract position is $80-$110 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations.
