- Support analytical and continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of Reporting & Compliance Analysts or Planning and Process Consultants
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, IT support teams, and vendors on data mapping, report development, automation, process documents, and training
- Collect, validate, analyze, and organize operational data for reporting and trend analysis
- Support root cause analysis, problem-solving, and development of solutions and process improvements
- Enhance existing dashboards or develop new dashboards tracking key operational metrics
- Ensure dashboards are meaningful, usable, accurate, current, and aligned with business needs
- Identify outdated program and training content and develop updated documentation
- Partner with learning management systems to migrate training content into LMS-based training
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project planning with internal and external stakeholders
- Project manage small to medium improvement projects according to technical implementation plans
- Build queries in multiple databases, develop data checks in PowerBI or similar tools, automate reporting functions, manage vendor software tickets, and translate work into process guidance, procedures, and training
- Current student, Junior or higher
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics or related technical degree
- Able to work full-time during the summer, up to 40 hours a week
- Able to work part time during the school year, up to 20 hours a week
- Able to commute to the designated work location in-person, per the hybrid work policy
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Experience or proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Python, Java, VBA, SQL, Databricks and PowerBI preferred
- Coursework or experience in data analytics, engineering, business analytics, or a related field preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with subject matter experts within a fast-paced team environment preferred
- Able to commute to the Marshall Operations Center in Minneapolis, MN three or more days per week
- Start date of May 24, 2027
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis, report development, and dashboard creation using tools like PowerBI. Capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and support operational metrics.
