Onsite Spanish Interpreter - Twin MN

Contract Responsibilities

• Provides consecutive in-person and virtual interpretation by phone and video.
• Follows interpreter protocols and procedures required by Propio Language Services clients.
• Abides by Propio Language Services policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and regulatory requirements or policies.
• Establishes and maintains quality service and positive interaction with patients, customers, visitors, healthcare providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients such as medical, legal, social services, etc.

• Submission of an updated resume in English at time of application.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Documentation of updated vaccinations – TB, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination), TDAP, seasonal influenza (flu) and COVID-19.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screening.
• Signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
• At least 1 year of interpreting experience.
