Role Description

This is a full‑time hybrid role for an Associate Commercial Underwriting Counsel located in Minneapolis, MN, with flexibility for some work‑from‑home arrangements. The Associate Commercial Underwriting Counsel will provide legal counsel for commercial underwriting, draft and review commercial contracts, and offer legal advice to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities include analysing complex legal issues, evaluating risk, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders on commercial transactions.

Collaboration with various teams and clients will be essential to successfully managing legal needs and fostering strong professional relationships.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Law and the ability to address complex legal issues
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Commercial Contracts
  • Proficiency in providing Legal Advice and addressing regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge in Data Privacy laws and their application in real estate transactions
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in good standing with the state bar
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Prior experience in real estate or commercial legal practice is a plus
