Job Summary
Dorsey is seeking an associate with four to six years of energy transactional experience to join the Regulatory Affairs group in our Minneapolis, Phoenix, or Salt Lake City office. Experience with Power Purchase Agreements, Interconnection Agreements (generators, transmission, and load), Large Load matters, electric service agreements, transmission service matters, and other industry specific transactions is required.
Qualifications- A JD degree from an ABA‑accredited law school;
- Four to six years of energy transactional experience;
- Minnesota, Arizona, or Utah bar admission or the ability to become admitted in Minnesota, Arizona, or Utah;
- Excellent communication and writing skills;
- Strong academic performance
- Applicants with FERC and/or state regulatory experience are preferred.
For Minneapolis applicants only, the salary range for this position is $245,000 – $285,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable‑hours track with a proportional reduction in salary. Associates are eligible to participate in Dorsey’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
