Responsibilities- Represent clients in criminal defense cases, ensuring their rights are protected and their voices are heard.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong, evidence‑based defense strategies.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique situations and provide personalized legal advice.
- Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.
- Negotiate with prosecutors to seek favorable plea deals or dismissals when appropriate.
- Advocate for clients in court, presenting compelling arguments and cross‑examining witnesses effectively.
- Stay updated on changes in criminal law and legal precedents to maintain a competitive edge in defense strategies.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and an active Minnesota law license in good standing.
- 5+ years of hands‑on criminal defense experience (or closely related litigation experience with courtroom exposure).
- Exceptional legal research, persuasive writing, and strategic negotiation skills.
- Courtroom confidence and sound judgment under pressure.
