Introduction

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team. The Senior Buyer is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for our company’s operations. This role involves developing and managing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all sourcing activities align with company policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute effective procurement strategies to ensure cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
  • Purchase and research products and services according to jobs
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Coordinate with the Accounting and Operations team to forecast demand, ensure accurate counts of inventory and manage supply chain logistics
  • Reconcile and update systems for inventory and credit cards
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers that are mutually beneficial for both parties
  • Negotiate terms to secure the best possible deals
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost‑saving opportunities
  • Follow measures to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management
  • Drive process improvements and contribute to purchasing and supply chain initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
Skills
  • Strong negotiation and vendor relationship expertise
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced experience with ERP or MRP systems (e.g. Microsoft Business Central)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of market research and data analysis
  • Acts as a Servant leader
  • Highly organized and delivers with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail
