Inventory Specialist
The Inventory Specialist supports accurate and efficient order processing and inventory management within a modern manufacturing environment. In this contract role, you review and confirm shipping orders, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and ensure timely delivery using an ERP system. You play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, escalating delivery issues, and supporting smooth supply chain operations through the end of this year, with guaranteed workload through the end of 2026.
Responsibilities
- Review shipping orders for completeness, accuracy, required documentation, supplier information, pricing, and delivery requirements.
- Use an ERP system (such as Microsoft Dynamics 365) to confirm orders internally and track order status.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status and timeliness of delivery.
- Ensure that inventory needs are clearly communicated and updated with suppliers.
- Monitor delivery timelines and proactively identify potential delays.
- Escalate any issues related to delivery delays to management.
- Manage multiple open orders and tasks simultaneously while maintaining organized records.
- Consistently follow established processes and procedures for order management and inventory control.
- Use Microsoft Excel to track, update, and analyze order and inventory information as needed.
- Use Microsoft Outlook to coordinate communications with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support problem-solving activities related to order discrepancies, shipping issues, or inventory variances.
- Assist with purchasing-related tasks when needed, leveraging preferred knowledge of purchasing processes.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years of experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Coupa, or similar software.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, order processing, or customer service within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with inventory management and order management processes.
- Proficiency using ERP systems to manage orders, inventory, and supplier information.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow established processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for email communication and coordination.
- Experience using shipping systems to support order fulfillment.
- Ability to manage multiple open items at once and follow up consistently until completion.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience escalating issues when appropriate.

Work Environment
This role is based in a safe, clean, modern manufacturing facility within a growing organization. You work a first-shift schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, supporting consistent daytime hours. The environment emphasizes structured processes, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the use of cutting-edge manufacturing and ERP technology to manage orders and inventory.
