The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is seeking an individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Supervisor to coordinate the cleaning and housekeeping services provided by assigned Housekeeping staff to ensure consistent quality services for all residents, family members, and visitors on the Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis campus.

This position is responsible for:

-Being a positive role model, support leadership directives and decisions, and recognize that they are an ambassador and representative of the State and the MDVA.

-Inspect assigned work areas to ensure compliance with applicable Health Department, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), Veterans Affairs (VA), and First Impression standards, maintaining a safe, sanitary, pest-free, odor-free, and clutter-free environment that supports cleanliness, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and a positive first impression.

-Ensure housekeeping needs across departments are identified, communicated, and addressed promptly to maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. Provide effective leadership, supervision, and direction to Building Services staff to ensure employees have the training, resources, guidance, and accountability necessary to successfully perform their assigned duties and consistently meet departmental, safety, regulatory, and facility standards.

-Assist the Executive Housekeeper in training of new resident employees and retraining of current employees, so that work procedures and proper use of supplies and equipment are followed by all employees so that the facility has a healthy, safe living and working environment.
