The Family and Community Engagement Supervisor is a strategic leadership role at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), responsible for advancing the statewide implementation of the Family and Community Engagement Model to Support Schools across Minnesota’s PreK–12 education system. This position demands visionary leadership, cross-agency collaboration, and a strong commitment to equity-driven, community-centered outreach and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Strategic Oversight:
Guide a team providing statewide engagement, support, and capacity-building for effective family and community engagement.Program Oversight:
Monitor compliance for the Minnesota Youth Council Grant and administer Statewide Enrollment programs.Public Communication & Outreach:
Develop and disseminate clear, timely, and accurate public information materials to increase transparency and community involvement.Community Engagement:
Direct efforts to engage directly with families and communities; coordinate initiatives across divisions to ensure cohesive engagement efforts; and build public awareness of agency programs and services.Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as a primary contact for inquiries from external partners, ensuring responsive and effective communication.
