The Program Manager, Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP) and Fatigue is responsible for the administration and oversight of the Aviation Safety Action Programs for all applicable employee groups (Flight Operations, Dispatch, Inflight, Technical Operations), as well as the Fatigue reporting programs for pilots and flight attendants at Endeavor Air. These programs and position are a crucial component of Endeavor's Safety Management System (SMS).
This position involves evaluating safety reporting data to identify trends and coordinate with individual employees and operational departments on corrective actions to prevent event recurrence and mitigate safety hazards across the operation. The Program Manager regularly presents data‑driven safety reporting information to frontline employees and all levels of Endeavor's leadership.
- Manage and facilitate all ASAP Event Review Committee (ERC) meetings and Fatigue Review Board (FRB) meetings as the Chair of ERCs and FRBs. This includes ERC and FRB member travel, accommodations, and compensation.
- Serve as the primary point‑of‑contact for frontline employees for all ASAP and Fatigue Review Board related matters. Conduct all follow‑up with employees regarding the status and outcome of their reports.
- Responsible for reviewing all ASAP and Fatigue reports from frontline employees.
- Manage collaboration with members of Safety to ensure that the ASAP Event Review Committees and Fatigue Review Boards are provided with all supporting information/data to make effective decisions on report disposition.
- Ensure all safety and incident reports are recorded and properly coded in the safety database.
- Provide training on the ASAP and Fatigue programs for committee members and frontline employees.
- Manage and track all corrective actions (individual employee and company level recommendations) assigned through ASAP and FRB meetings to completion.
- Manage collaboration with members of the Safety Department to continually evaluate safety reporting data and conduct trend analysis to identify trends and changes in operational risk based on information reported in the programs.
- Create and present data‑driven safety information to all levels of the organization. This includes frontline employees as well as senior level leadership on a regular basis.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and presentations.
- Coordinate with base management on fatigue reporting outcomes to ensure proper pay coding.
- Draft and publish ASAP and fatigue newsletters to highlight data trends and significant events for the employee groups.
- Schedule and lead base visits to educate employees on the benefits of ASAP, safety reporting, and the fatigue risk management program.
