HR Generalist

You will serve as the primary point of contact for union personnel and management regarding human resources matters. This position involves managing recruitment efforts for both union and non-union roles, overseeing onboarding procedures, and supporting shop leadership in the development and tracking of performance evaluations and improvement plans.

• Provide administrative assistance to the Plant Manager, HR Manager, and Shop Managers.
• Facilitate the hiring process by posting openings according to union agreements and utilizing various platforms to help build a strong, qualified workforce.
• Manage union employee attendance tracking, including processing time-off requests and verifying payroll data to ensure accuracy for the entire team.
• Partner with shop leadership to streamline performance management and training initiatives, helping to foster a culture of professional growth.
• Act as a dedicated resource for union staff, providing clear guidance on benefits, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
• Maintain organizational compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations to help protect the company and its employees.
• Participate in disciplinary proceedings, investigations, and termination meetings as required.
• Keep accurate and up‑to‑date records within personnel files for all shop staff.
• Perform additional duties as requested to support operational success.

• Share critical information promptly and clearly with relevant stakeholders.
• Utilize strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to navigate complex situations.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with company expectations.
• Uphold safety protocols daily to help maintain a secure working environment for all staff.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
• Represent Boker’s, Inc. with integrity and professionalism at all times.

• An Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is preferred, along with one to three years of HR experience.
• Possession of a SHRM-CP certification is considered a plus.

• Ability to interpret technical documents, safety manuals, and operational procedures.
• Capacity to draft routine reports and communicate clearly with diverse groups.
• Skill in resolving practical issues and interpreting various forms of instructions.

The physical requirements listed are necessary to perform the essential duties of this role, with accommodations available as needed. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and specific vision capabilities including close and color vision are necessary.
