Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is looking for highly detail-oriented and visually discerning Color Mastering Specialist to lead the development, validation, and approval of A-surface materials across multiple product categories. This role is key to bridging the gap between design intent and manufacturing execution—ensuring color accuracy, gloss, texture, and finish consistency across paints, plastics, decals, fabrics, metals, and more. If you’re passionate about visual quality and cross-functional collaboration, this is your opportunity to shape premium product experiences and brand consistency from concept to production.

You

Will:
  • Oversee the color mastering process from design hand-off through production sign-off for all A-surface materials
  • Lead physical sample reviews and visual alignment sessions with internal teams and suppliers
  • Develop and manage master standards across various material types (e.g., paint chips, texture plaques, vinyl samples)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve color matching issues to meet manufacturing tolerances and timelines
  • Maintain an organized physical library of approved finishes for internal reference
  • Partner closely with CMF design, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment
  • Support R&D efforts in developing new finishes and color technologies
  • Assist with documentation for release and production support
You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Materials Engineering, Color Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in color development, material specification, or visual quality control (automotive, powersports, or consumer products industries preferred)
  • Exceptional eye for color, texture, and finish; ability to evaluate under varying lighting conditions
  • Familiarity with color matching processes, manufacturing tolerances, and visual evaluation tools (light booths, gloss meters, spectrophotometers a plus)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the confidence to lead internal reviews and supplier negotiations
