Contract Details:

    • Week 1: Thursday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

    • Week 2: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
      (Rotating 12-hour day shift schedule)

  • Pay Rate: $27/hr

Job Summary:

The Inventory Assistant supports daily warehouse and materials operations with a strong focus on inventory control, material accuracy, and production support. This role ensures materials are available, accurately tracked, and safely handled while supporting internal customers, third-party logistics providers, and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the crib, loading bays, and storage areas.

  • Coordinate activities with third-party logistics and warehouse service providers.

  • Interface with internal customers to resolve material shortages, discrepancies, and downtime issues.

  • Issue materials to production, ensuring accurate system transactions and traceability.

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders and safety requirements.

  • Perform routine and ad-hoc cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records in materials management systems and virtual crib platforms.

  • Monitor inventory levels to support reorder points, minimize excess inventory, and prevent stockouts.

  • Ensure proper material labeling, storage accuracy, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable).

  • Support Point of Use (POU) delivery systems to production areas.

  • Track, locate, and expedite material deliveries as required.

  • Provide shift coverage on short notice based on operational needs.

  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Inventory Control Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Inventory Accuracy: ≥ 98% based on cycle count results

  • Cycle Count Compliance: 100% completion of scheduled cycle counts

  • Stockout Incidents: Zero unplanned production stops

  • Receiving Accuracy: ≥ 99% accuracy (quantity, identification, system entry)

  • Material Issue Accuracy: ≥ 99% accuracy when issuing to production

  • Inventory Variance Resolution: All discrepancies resolved within defined SLA timelines

Skills & Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience in:

    • Inventory management and control

    • Warehouse operations

    • Forklift operation

    • Customer service and inventory systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or supply chain environments

  • Strong attention to detail and data integrity

  • Proven ability to investigate inventory variances and improve processes

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 45 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods during a 12-hour shift

  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment

  • Ability to work in warehouse and production environments with varying temperatures and noise levels
