Opportunity

Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all stockroom operations that support production, with a primary focus on material availability, inventory accuracy, and operational discipline. This role leads two functional teams—Inventory Control and Production Support—and ensures materials are received, stored, staged, and delivered to production accurately and on time. The Supervisor is accountable for building systems that prevent material shortages and inventory errors while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient operation.

The Stockroom Supervisor is accountable for performance through key metrics including production downtime due to material shortages, inventory accuracy, line feeding on‑time delivery, labor utilization, and root cause closure rates. This role is expected to proactively identify risks, implement corrective actions, and ensure sustained operational control.

  • Ensure continuous material availability to production lines and prevent line stoppages.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counting strategy, and discrepancy root cause analysis.
  • Ensure receiving, putaway, staging, and FIFO processes are executed consistently and correctly.
  • Lead daily material readiness and shortage review meetings.
  • Balance labor across shifts and functions based on production demand.
  • Monitor and improve dock-to-line and replenishment performance.
  • Enforce transaction discipline and system accuracy.
  • Coordinate cross-shift communication and handoffs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to layout, slotting, and material flow.
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards.
  • Communicate risks, constraints, and performance trends to management.
Qualifications
  • Experience in warehouse, stockroom, or production support operations.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and material flow principles.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and drive process improvement.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across shifts.

  • Production lines are consistently supplied with required materials.
  • Inventory accuracy is maintained and improves over time.
  • Clear ownership exists between Inventory Control and Production Support teams.
