A well-established plastics manufacturing company is seeking a full-time Machine Operator to join our 1st shift team. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment and are committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Schedule & Pay:
  • Monday through Friday, 11pm - 7am
  • $23.00/hour
  • Weekly pay and full-time hours
Position Overview: As an Operating Technician I, you'll be responsible for preparing, setting up, operating, and troubleshooting thermoforming manufacturing equipment. You'll ensure production runs meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate equipment to produce thermoformed plastic parts
  • Perform machine inspections, routine maintenance, and cleaning
  • Troubleshoot and adjust machinery to maximize production efficiency
  • Communicate product or equipment issues with team leads or other departments
  • Ensure part quality by reading product drawings and performing measurements
  • Complete required documentation and shift hand-offs
  • Operate a forklift when necessary
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
  • Maintain clean work area through regular housekeeping duties
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Machine and inspection experience required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to meet safety and quality standards
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in medical manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with quality control principles and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Good organization and time management
  • Basic computer proficiency
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 10-30 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Standing for extended periods; bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
  • Comfortable working in a warm manufacturing environment
